On January 23, at the morning worsship service, Mrs. Florence Jones was received as our newest member of Hodges Presbyterian church.

Florence lives in the Covenant Way assisted living facility in Due West, and she has been worshiping with us for several months. She is transferring her membership from the 1st Presbyterian Church of Tifton, GA. We are happy to have Florence in our midst and look forward to a long and happy association with her.

Elder Ordination/Installation

The new elders for the session class of 2013 were installed on January 16th during the morning worship.

Elder Sue Hannah was installed for a second consecutive term, and Bill Copeland was ordained and installed to his first term on session. In accordance with the action in the congregational meeting in 2009, only two elders are elected each year beginning in 2010.

Retiring elders are Wayne Brooks and William Nickles. We extend our heartfelt thanks to them for the hard work they put in during their time on the session.
