GLOBAL AWARENESS

Partner Churches in South Asia

The Presbyterian Church has been a partner in proclaiming the good news of the love and saving power of Jesus Christ throughout South and Southeast Asia for over 170 years. Many of the indigenous churches and institutions organized by early mission workers long ago took the lead in Christian witness and service in these countries and are now sending mission workers themselves to other parts of the region and world.

At the same time, one of the greatest challenges faced by these long-time partners is finding the means to breathe new life into some of the older schools, hospitals, and outreach ministries through which so many first hear about and then become disciples in the life-transforming gospel of God's love for all people.

Developing the trained leadership and the financial means to keep these ministries available to the poorest of the poor calls for continuing partnership by the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), both through prayer and financial support.
